Smalland: Survive the Wilds is an adventure game. In the game, you play as a tiny character who has been shrunk down to the size of an insect and is now trying to survive in a dangerous wilderness filled with predatory creatures and other threats.

Crafting requires you to gather materials and use crafting stations. The game features a dynamic weather system that can change suddenly, forcing you to adapt its strategies. 

The day and night cycles also affect gameplay, as different creatures are active and dormant at different times. You’ll encounter a variety of creatures, some are friendly while others are hostile. You must interact with these creatures to survive and progress in the game. As you explore the open world, you can gain experience and improve your skills and equipment, making the game more challenging as you progress. 

You can also play in co-op mode with up to three other players, working together to survive and thrive in the wilderness. The game’s realism and attention to detail also contribute to its popularity, as you feel immersed in the wilderness environment and the challenges it presents. However, it can be quite challenging and unforgiving, which may not be appealing to some players.

What’s new in the Forbidden Monuments update?

Smalland’s Forbidden Monuments patch update brings a slew of changes to keep gameplay fresh and exciting. These include a new biome, the Park, along with a new non-playable character, Malik the Ornithomancer. There are new creatures too, which are Aetherin Elite, Aetherin Scout, The Blue Tit, and The Stink Bug. New armor, weapons, building parts, and resources are added, as well.

Furthermore, the update also improves the game’s overall balance, with adjustments to creature levels and player leveling. Changes to animation have been made, too, particularly to the jumping and running ones. As for mounted creatures, they can now jump and attack.
